Hi everyone. On behalf of the club executive, I'm writing to warn you about the weather for the event tomorrow. The event is on, unless we post otherwise on this forum thread. If the weather is not good, we may decide to delay a few hours (rather than cancel the events), since the afternoon looks like it will have better weather. We'll state such on this very forum thread!
We're watching the weather closely. Hopefully the rain will stop by about 9:30am. We're hopeful we can go ahead with the event, but stay tuned to this forum thread for any delay or cancellation announcements. Personally, I use hourly forecast and the weather radar forward animation for the exact postal code location of our field from theweathernetwork:

You have to open up the weather radar map and nice to let it animate forward in time to the future.
it's likely we'll have to delay the event start slightly, or perhaps until this afternoon. We should be able to run the event since the weather will improve. Please stay tuned to this forum thread.
So don't leave home and head to the field just yet.
Here is the official change announcement:
The rain should stop roughly at 10am, but we'll delay the event until the afternoon so things can dry out, and allow possibly one more shower to go by.
Set up will start at 12pm, registration desk will open at 12:30pm, and pilots meeting at 1pm.
This does not say you can't fly before then, since the weather may be somewhat reasonable, and our president will be at the field from 9:30am onward to explain the delay and supervise any pre-registration guest flying.
We are getting queries whether pizza will still be served. Yes, but closer to mid-afternoon (after we've assessed the actual number of attendees, and had time for cooking and delivery.
